Hi guys , I wanna for PvM have some different choice than double grief or beast, cuz I dont like either Phase blade appareance or Berserker axe, they look shit.

The game is old, and easy for most of the part it term of farming, I know its the best choice, but I just wanna look good and old school all right hehe.

So I wanna pick up some OG swords, like CB

What would be the best choice, double CB botd ? CB botd + CS Death ? Last wish also could be included cuz we cant run beast, may put it on a mercenary.

I know I could do Grief in a different sword of Phase blade, but then u need to repair it every 5 mins, and its boring ;(.

Your toughts fellas ?
What is the best option in term of BIG damouge and amazing look ?

If you wanna go for look , just use botd in any weapon that you think looks good

botd/2x botd/botd+death in eth CB/CS. could also mix in eternity for style points, but you will lose a substantial amount of dmg

you definitely want eth indestructible weapons, so these are the options

Sadly eternity is a bit behind in term of damages

I'm wondering if 2x BOTD CB >= ? BOTD CB + DEATH CB/CS

+50% Chance of Crushing Blow
+(0.5 per Character Level) 0.5-49.5% Deadly Strike (Based on Character Level)

These two lines from death are the reason why I'm wondering, I'm not sure how good compare to flat %ed this is

death is 300-385ed while botd is 350-400ed, a good roll on death gives about the same dmg as a mediocre botd with lower rune investment. the additional deadly strike may compensate for this, depending on how much cs/ds you have from other items/mastery. the big problem with death however is the lack of ias, so you might observe a severe loss of attack speed

That's what I meant, I dont rly know where DS starts to be more efficient than ED, but you are right on the ed%roll from botd.

For the IAS, I know its trash, but I heard in the latest patch, WW ias changed ? And its not from the weapon only but also from other items, right?
Anyway if I have to sacrifice some gear to get extra IAS to makes death effective, I am not sure if it's still worth .

true, for D2R this might be doable

I played around the new ias calculations with the death on ww…for reaching max 4fpa bp CB needs 75 ias and CS needs 89ias. Generally CS death is hard to reach 4fpa (including gear with loh, highlord, helm with 15ias jew).

In the case of CS death, unless you wear armor with ias like treachery or hustle to reach 89ias. Which means you will sacrifice the ed from forti / tele from enigma…or you can use faith act1 merc / hustle act2 merc to provide you fanat aura, but you will lose the decrepify from reaper toll…

For CB death is more flexible to just changing the helm with 35ias or 25ias helm with 10ias belt to reach total 75ias, without sacrificing the armor of forti/enigma. (with using loh and highlord for sure)

And how would you rate the result , compare to regular builds ? regardind what I said above
