i think you misread whatever you saw.

elite tomes are very easy to come by, whereas armbraces are not.

unless this is in pre searing? (meaning it was brought in to pre searing during a very brief window of time years and years ago when a bug existed)

what does 100a mean

the "a" in 100a means armbrace of truth (https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Armbrace_of_Truth). looks like theyre worth about ~150 ectos per right now.

However, what I suspect you are referencing is MavyGr's thread : (https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=96237618&f=209) where he is selling a regular ranger tome in presearing and has an offer of 100a or 100 post searing armbraces. The reason this is so valuable is because these items should not and no longer can be brought to that area of the game (the beginning area where you start before vatlaaw doomtooth destroys ascalon). Any tome in that area of the game is increedibly rare because no more can be brought there and as they are used, the available stock decreases. It also offers a huge spike in power because the player will have access to skills that are not normally available in pre searing.

An elite ranger tome in pre searing would be very valuable. An elite ranger tome in post searing is not.

yeah, I had a hunch. It seemed very unlikely that anyone would have an ultra rare item of that quality anymore and not include the most important piece of information about it (whether it is in pre searing or not).
