my guild mate just spent 1k gold on the mystic forge ( gs only )
he got 8 precursors <_< ( both gs 4x each )
so tempted to spend some gold lol..

Oh yea?

I spent over 1400 GS in mystic forge, got 0 precursors...opened 134 BLC during F&F, got 0 tickets...do you think you have your friend's luck, my luck (doubtful), or an average?

Gambling in the mystic forge can go both ways, you can get insanely rich with very little work or lose all of your money and get absolutely nothing back. I played a bit around by putting in rare staffs to try and get the legend. I posted some of the results on reddit but i can also post the picture here if any1 is interested.



As you can see i ended up earning around 1100 gold which is okey i guess but i was pretty unlucky i think since i only averaged one "The Legend" every 928 tries. I stopped the research after this but i am tempted to do it again and hopefully make even more money =)

that's some solid data right there!

i only need to make 300g more to buy the precursor and lodestones outright, so atm that's what i'm grinding for.

currently i can afford 312 tries at mystic forge... i just can't. lol.

lol, not true at all. With enough tries one can easily determine the precursor chance pretty accurate. That has nothign to do with my luck thats game wide for everyone.
