Depends on the mood.

GW1 if you want to use your brain and enjoy an experience that you can truly appreciate what the devs put their heart and soul into.

GW2 if you want faster but spammier and mostly braindead gameplay.

Honestly at this point I enjoy both for different reasons.

Pvp season 5 right now is really good and rewarding, I mean.. free ascended gear for doing what I did already, which is destroy kids and carry teams in pvp. Yes please.

The fact that cancer is at a seemingly all time low (this may change once I get closer to legendary rank) definitely helps.

GW2 has grown on me, but nothing comes even close to GW1 in its haydays. GW2 will always be shit in comparison. And I will forever be salty that they abandoned 1.

I still love playing GW but I just wanna cry at how dead it is... I play MMOs to play with other people, not run solo. RIP GW.

Agree. Gw2 was made to appeal to more people (more braindead) and have a model that was more capable of making more money.

As it's been said before, its hard to even see GW2 as a Guild Wars game. Everything changed aside from the name. I found myself entertained by GW2 for a couple months of play, but that's it. I played GW1 for I believe 7-8 years and logged thousands of hours, something I've never done on another game in my life, not even close. I found PvP to be boring and easy in GW2. I was always garbage at PvP in GW1, there seemed to be a big learning curve with a lot of play styles. There was always something to do in GW1, no matter if you liked PvE or PvP. The GW2 grind just got so old so fast. Idk man, it's nostalgia to a certain extent at this point, but GW1 is my favorite game of all time. Just typing this makes me want to play lol. .

Play is a very strong word lol. I think I log on it like I logged on to GW2 a year after that came out. I guess I am just focused on IRL stuff etc now. I wish it could be what it was, but I could only see that happening if someone flushed a major amount of money into it.

I havent played gw1 since before the first xpac dropped. I still have a few thousand althea's ashes in my stash from an old exploit.

I vaguely remember this. What was the point of the exploit again?

To sell them to other players so they could instantly complete the quest. The quest required a lot of travel but rewarded a good chunk of exp so plenty of players would buy them at a small price to just avoid having to do all the travel to complete the quest.
