No, things have changed in recent patches
This video explains literally everything about crafting to profession levels 400 and character level 80th
The estimated cost to level a character to 80th through crafting, is 70 to 80 gold

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7l73V5s9gU

I want to stress again
That not everyone has 70 - 80 gold to craft their way to level 80

Like said, level up to 30, then craft to 80. Still costs about 20g.
Heck, lets go crazy and say it's 30g now with some increased prices for the boxes... still way more efficient.
If you'd be stupid and craft 1-80, then maybe the cost will be about 60-70g, as the other crafting professions aren't really worth it.

Also, video doesn't excist. Not sure if that had any valid points to it.

Took me 5 hours to buy/craft everything up 80(level up to 30 then craft).
Last time it cost me about 20g.
Farming 20g is like 3 hours.

Doesn't seem very efficient to me.
And I'd rather do CoF farming instead of silly events on your own.

Eek we tried already. He thinks grinding the overlord chain is effective... To level fast.

It's not though. After level 30 the xp sucks balls anyhow. But I guess he's never even done it and bases his experience off leveling 20-30 on it.

Not arguing that it isn't efficient
It's that people who are just beginning play, who may not have access to a lot of extra cash to buy Blue Gems from Best Buy
Do not have 20 - 30 - 70 gold or an 80th level capable of farming something like Cursed Shore to get 20 - 30 - 70 gold

In this case, if you're building your first character, Kessex Hills Event Chain is the fastest way to level 80th

And I don't know where you guys are getting 20g to 80th
The best current guides on youtube/websites all are suggesting end results of 70 to 80 gold spent
But this is considering that a person does not have anything stocked in the bank and that they are purchasing everything to do the crafting

Basing it on my own experience from leveling 8x level 80's
Basing it on every current guide on youtube and/or websites

Either way, sounds like you're the same multi trolls littered across d2jsp
Won't matter what type of good advice is posted, you'll troll it anyway
Despite the overwhelming amount of evidence on every single guide posted on the internet

You want to troll me?
Stop yapping with no evidence and go find/post a video that will prove me wrong
And show XP being gained faster than the video that I've posted (that isn't rich crafting)
There's a project for you

If you'd build your first character I can't see anyone doing the most boring grind in game to level up, when there's a whole world to explore that's 20 times better.
I just don't see any reason why you would do that.

Except that an event of the appropriate level will scale to 5x the experience...

I mean it's not hard to come up with anything to just prove your ''epic guide'' wrong.
And if you did this 8 times I really feel sorry for you wasting your time.

Why do I need videos to prove something you can just experience in game and is common knowledge?
Problem is, it's not good advise. You're too stuck up in your own world to see past it.

Omg there isn't a cookie cutter build for crafting... that's why it's impossible to do cheap and fast. /sarcasm

Heck, do you want me to make a 6 minute video of me doing a cof run gaining 70% XP on a character in 6 minutes?
Do that what, 120 times or so... and boom level 80. Faster than yours

Buy gather tools, gather at every node while 100% mapping and do every event. Craft with the matts you've gathered. Way more effective the grinding an extremely boring chain. But hey if you want to waste your time, cool. If you want to waste others. Stop posting useless bullshit.

Bahaha, just skipped through the video a little.

He starts at 24.2 at 1 minute.
At a good 15 minutes in, he's still not even close to 25.
And that's when the XP scaling isn't even that negative.

Seems legit.

Trolling with theorycrafting just makes you look like an ass
Not sure if you're aiming for this?

Especially when you're trolling a user who is actually helping people with guides/evidence/reference

~ Cheers

What evidence have you shown that it takes 16 hours to level up to 80?

He got half a level in 15 minutes. That's 2 levels per hour. That's about 40 hours.
That is if XP didn't scale the fuck down. So you're more looking at 60-70 hours.

I'm not even trolling dude... why are you so stuck up?
