is it worth to buy gw1 to get titles and stuff in gw2? how long would it take to gain points in the hall of monuments?

depends upon the title. but starting from scratch-- probably a couple months of serious playtime

i got my friend 0-40 HoM within a span of a week or so.

I was pretty rich though and bought a lot of titles/miniatures/weapons/armor on top of us speedcleaing the PvE content.

well everything is rather cheap on there now that the hype of gw2 is dead on it, even still. much of the minis are retardedly cheap, and you can farm the weapon HoM pretty easily if you do war in kyrta on a couple of chars since it's not a hard campaign

doesn't the cost of a server change depend on the server you're switching to's population?
