How about cleaning out your temps, using something like CCleaner to clean temp directories and registry?

(tossing ideas out now, not sure where to go from here... seems like an uninstall/reinstall might be the next step)

Try a complete uninstall/reinstall. Or you could do a system restore back to after the game was installed, but before this update hit. Not sure if you could use Add/Remove programs to remove the most recent update.

Yeah, that seems to be the path you may have to take. It appears that maybe some GW2 files got corrupted with the update. Doesn't look like there is anything left to check on your system.




He's already updated drivers. That was one of the first things that was mentioned.

I had this problem as well. It wasn't heat I run at about 45 celcius CPU and 55 celcius GPU.

I turned off hyper threading stopped OC'ing and some other weird stuff. Upgraded bios etc. Nothing worked.

I used CCleaner and cleaned registry and so far... it's good..? But I only played it about 1.5 hours before I had to go to work. I'll update on if it worked.

trying 4 core affinity instead of all 8

I just re-installed my Guild wars, and it worked fine after that - I'd suggest you do the same honestly 100 fg sent to 1stgen as he was the first who suggested it.
