Hey everyone, so - I finished downloading GW2 on my computer yesterday, and played a few hours then without any problems. This morning I also logged on for an hour or so, and it worked fine. When I got home around 30 minutes ago, something strange happened. I launched GW2, got a small update, when it was done I clicked play and it started flicking for a bit, and crashed. Now it does this every time that I try to log in, here's what it says:

"A serious error has occurred that prevents the program from continuing to run. You can help us prevent this error from occurring in the future by reporting it to ArenaNet. Please press the Send button to report this error."

Yeah I know, I'll download a new one, thanks for pointing it out and I'll return to you and see if it worked, it's just odd that it allowed me to play this morning even, if that is the issue?

I'd probably make sure you have updated Catalyst drivers. Older driver versions seemed to cause some issues with newer games (I run an HD6850)... I had issues with D3 but updated to a newer driver package, problems went away... no issues (so far) with GW2.

Checked it as the first thing, and the drivers for both of my graphic cards are up-to-date Thanks a lot for the input tho

I'm really unsure if this is going to help but I'd say it's worth a try:

Right-click on GW2 shortcut -> properties

At the end of "Target:", add -repair.

e.g. "C:\...\GW2.exe" -repair

watch Clint Eastwood's movie - should help.

EDIT: oh yea, I'm waiting on my 100 fg.

EDIT2: yeaaah and after this - ppl are still expecting help? scamming everyone in every topic. Promise 100fg for help - but never give em, thats the OP's motto.

Tried updating my DirectX, no fix.



I'll try that if nothing else works, I'll just wait for some replies where re-installing the game or equivelant(big repairs) are nescessery I'll return to you tho if nothing else works!

Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in again?

Did you try to run GW2 as admin?

right click shortcut > properties > compatibility > run this program as administrator. check box, apply, ok.
