Like seriously, I'm 36. I've been playing a lot of games through my life.

I mean, I understood using cheatcodes when we were playing Doom or Duke Nukem, facing single player situations which were close to impossible to be achieved normally.

But hell, without listing all the hassle I have (as everyone else, I bet) during this fucking pandemic situation.
Personal problems.
Familiar problems.
Work problems.

And whatever else comes in your mind.

I came home late (like late) in the damn evening. Alone. Nothing else to do but just want to relax goddamn 1 hour playing a fucking video game.

No? No.

Cause wallhack/autoaim kids (or maybe adults?) just make the game unplayable.


Seriously, someone explains me where the fuck is the fun using hacks in a goddamn multiplayer game.
Cause deep in yourself you know you suck at that game (and probably at life too) thus you are using a cheat to make it easier.

Enlight me. I just want to understand.

It's always funny reading these posts because it's 99% of the time someone hardstuck bronze/silver in r6, ~SEM in cs:go etc and think people are really cheating in that low of a skill game.
You aren't going to run into hacks until around plat / DMG-LEM etc, and if you do, it will be 1 in 100 matches.

I've been playing for ages on Unreal Torunament titles, lately a lot on UT4 which is a dead game = basically no one cheates there.
I'm not a pro but I can tell people who are enormously more skilled than me and I assure you that anyone could just think it's a cheat. No, it's skill.

Then I recently started playing Warzone cause I can cross play with different platforms which allows me to play with my buds who live far from me.

And here I see being headshotted with people not even scoping, players who knows 100% of the times where you are withou UAV or Beat Sensor, people shooting in the air but miraculously always hitting me.
And there are the kill replays that prove that.

I'm hidden in the woods with a non-sparkling sniper optic? They headshot me from even farther with a grassmower.
I'm running fast as hell jumping and hiding? They headshot me with rifles not even using optics nor aiming.

Come on! I'm not an idiot, I know there are skilled players and I met a lot of them who beated my ass.
But I've also played in team with people who were basically running and shooting in the air and ended the match with 50 kills and 1 death. That's not skill...

Also it's wellknown that game is full of cheaters. They constantly ban thousands accounts on daily basis.

I just want to understand what moves people to use cheats. Honestly I'd be bored after 10 minutes and probably uninstall the game.

well yeah warzone is 100% f2p, of course people will cheat in it at any skill level, plus you lose nothing when banned, theres nothing worth "investing time into" because it's just a battle royale.
That's why you should try games like Escape from tarkov, rainbow 6, etc, because of 1. time investment in the account (getting gear in tarkov/hideout built / and unlocking operators in r6s) As well as the money investment ( $60+ for tarkov / $40 for r6s gold edition) makes it way less lucrative to cheat, plus battleye is pretty good, all public cheats = insta ban, and the private ones are in the range of 500+ per month.

I know but my friends that, thanks Covid, I can't see since months play Warzone on PS.

I'm playing from PC and that's a nice platform to spend time and chat with them.

I get the F2P thing here but still, WHAT MOVES someone to use cheats? That's what I don't get. The game itself becomes useless in my point of view.

And it's not like using the Cobra on Age of Empires 2 or cheatcodes on GTA. I mean here you use cheats to beat other players. On a free game.
You win and? You KNOW you won that's to the cheats. How can someone feel satisfied by that? Jesus christ I find that shit so dumb.

And yes, I'm here ranting on a stupid videogame because my mental stability is going nuts after all these months locked down. What the fuck...

Theres realistically 3 kinds of cheaters.
1. the person that convinces themselves that it's legit. These are generally the "closet hackers" that don't blatantly aimbot, but maybe just use a triggerbot.
2. the person that wants to just absolutely ruin other peoples experience. These people are the "rage hackers" that will aimbot headshot you from 100m+
3. The pro that for some reason cheats. This one blows my mind, people like KQLY etc are pro level players, sometimes on t1 teams, and get caught with cheats.
There was a big scripting platform in league of legends, and one day one of the people writing the script, made a script to inject whether you dl'd and turned the specific script on, It deleted system32 straight up, and published your name on a list, that then got leaked to reddit.
Was insane seeing some of the best players of all time using these scripts, not because they needed the skill, but simply because it was "easier" to boost accounts by using them.

Guess for #3 you could chalk it up to "the person that wants to make money using the cheats"

It sucks for sure, and it's why sadly I play stuff like warzone on console and just plug in my mouse and keyboard. I'm almost positive when M&KB become more main stream in console games like how warzone has done it, that PC shooters will absolutely die.
We are already in the age where 4k 60fps on pro/ ps5 is real, and you can just hook up a good monitor instead of a TV and get 0ms delay.
