But the gamemode and everything is absolutely awsome!

I've already put 25 hours into it in January which is quite a lot for me.

I bought the standard edition and loved it so much that a few days later I dropped the extra $$ on the Edge of darkness version.

What blew me away is the different ammo types, for example there are 14 different types of ammo for the 9X18 caliber.

So you can go for subsonic to use with a suppressor, Hollow points vs unarmored targets, Tracer rounds, Armor piercing, High fragmenting Police rounds (No richochet).

Ya I think I will be getting it. How is it for playing with friends? Much of an option there or what? Can you trade with other people as well?

Absolutely. IMO the best survival shooter out there right now. But I would recommend going for the cheapest package at first if you haven't played it (especially if you haven't watched streams) since it's definitely not for everyone.

Yeah, you can queue up in a squad. Game is pretty unforgiving, but running in a squad helps make it a lot easier since you have someone to watch your back and cover you while looting (not to mention fewer enemy PMCs on the map). You'll definitely have some team kill issues until you figure out how to communicate since there's no built-in way to identify friend from foe.

Trading is possible, but only in-raid so if you can't fit what you're trading in your alpha container you have to survive and extract to get it out.

If I buy the cheaper package and love the game is it cheaper to upgrade to the more expensive one or do I have to pay the full 140$

Upgrade price is full price minus price of your current package.

Ok so if I got the 50$ starter and upgraded to the 140$ one I'd only pay 90?

Correct.

/e One thing to keep in mind: after you upgrade your package, you have to reset your profile before it'll take effect in game. This resets your character to level 1 and you lose all your loot, level progress, trader progression, quests, etc. Not necessarily a bad thing for a new player (especially if you get someone to help you transfer money to your new character) but it's not obvious on the website unless you know what to look for.
