And this is it... It's a beautiful looking act, but not very fun to play. On top of the annoying enemies to fight, there's also a lot of lag issues at times, especially when trying to record a video. Anyway, one time is enough for this act... i'm glad they made it optional. The game is long enough and i already wasted a lot of time. Moving into Epic now!

I didn't notice that I've leveled up at the Omega Telkine fight - all 3 points in Focus



So what's the plan for epic? This time i'll make it fast past acts 1 and 2. There will be 2 farming spots in act 1 - the new optional bosses who only spawn in epic and legendary. One of them is the Boar Snatcher, located in a cave near Tegea. The other one is Talos the Master Automatoi, located in King Minos' Court, at the entrance to the Minoan Labyrinth. I might do 5-10 Megalesios runs too, because sometimes i have better luck there, but Talos is the clear winner in epic difficulty when it comes to the loot in act 1. I'm not going to be wasting any time elsewhere, i'm barely even going to fight enemies here as i'm already over leveled and the xp will be bad. I'm only going to kill what stands on my way, and complete the quests that reward with permanent bonuses.

This will be my starting item setup for Epic. I have some rotation gear of course, to max the fire, poison or bleeding if necessary. I also took all unfinished normal charms/relics and placed them in my regular stash to open space for the epic ones



The higher version relics are now called Embodiment, there will be no essences dropping in Epic... One more shard of Achilles and i'll have my new sword

I forgot i have that extra skill granted by my shield... i could have used it in Atlantis



The Extra point from killing Nessus goes in Focus too. Nessus is much faster to farm now, but there's no point in doing that when there're better places and i'm not desperate for gear



He actually dropped the Epic Outrider's Buckler, but here it's not that useful. It blocks more, deals more damage than the normal one, but the other stats can't compete with my shield

I'm in Tegea, but before i farm the Boar Snatcher, i want to complete the Poisoned Spring quest, because this time it gives 150 permanent health bonus



Boar Snatcher is not impressive at all. Just a giant spider with physical and poison damage attacks. He's easy too, even with below average poison resistance. His chest rarely drops legendary loot, but is very good for farming relic shards.



New weapon completed with a new epic relic - it raised the DPS from 587 to 734. Nine Boar Snatcher runs in, still no epic or legendary items

Level 48 - 1 point in Focus (maxed)



2 points in Triumph. I did around 30 Boar Snatcher runs and i only got 4-5 blue items, but they were all for casters and rangers



First somewhat useful item drops from the Cyclops on quest kill. Good for raising poison resistance when needed. Moving on...

Arachne the Spider Queen drops the epic Deathweavers Legtip, but it's not good enough



I'll stash these in case other parts of the set drop... they'll probably be useless, but i'm curious to see what the bonuses are for more pieces equipped



I'm already in the Minoan Labyrinth. I'm only one hour in from the start of Epic and that includes the Boar Snatcher runs. Time for the Talos farm...

Level 49 - 3 points in Triumph (maxed). Done with Talos, no legendary or useful epic drops



A nice swap amulet drops in the labyrinth

I did 3 Telkine runs before moving to act 2



This might come in use for Typhon



Now this is something! It's one of the greater artifacts i have in mind to replace the Shroud of Eternal Night, but i'm short of the required components. I don't think i even have the formula for the Song of the Serpent, even though it says i have the entire artifact (i don't). I'm going to check where's the best place to farm these formulas and what are the required components to craft them. I think Kingslayer is also one of the required artifacts to craft a Talisman of the Jade Emperor, so i'll definitely want to have it.



Damn it, i checked... Talos and Megalesios are the best places to get Raven's Shadow, Song of the Serpent has the best chance to drop from the Telkine in Egypt. I screwed myself, because i went to Egypt and lost my rebirth fountain in the labyrinth. Now i have run all the way back there
