I've spent 99% of my time in soulsborne just invading for like the last 5 years or so. I used to just casually play the souls series but discovered how much I like being an invader, and being invaded. So I tend to run through the game on a new char picking up all the items I need solo with finger cracked to lure in invaders, and then I invade when I finish.

I've never liked honor duels very much, I don't think the games are balanced around 1v1 honor duels. In them you're forced to use specific items made for the slow methodical "Never be the aggressor, just punish with spacing, hit a true combo, back off repeat" playstyle of duelists.
