TCG are in essence a pay to win gaming premise.
Why do people who play TCG buy more cards? To make better decks, which give them an advantage over those who dont buy more decks. I have nearly written this game off as it is very difficult to play against people who have spent alot more on the game then I have.
http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=68414277&f=208I would read that. May help change your mind.
However I know the feeling of a game where people have an
advantage of paying money.
In Infinity Wars sake it is simple:
Either you pay money for a quicker chance of obtaining better cards or grind out IP to unlock packs slowly, but surely.
Of course there is always trading. Which hopefully JSP can provide some sort of trading system that will draw more players in.
However most people don't think about games prior to having online micro transaction stores.
I like to have an open mind when it comes to game being Pay to win, Pay for advantage, Pay to Play. As a big multi-gamer I have had big problems with games feeling pay to win. However none of us ever take a second to use our brain and think back on old days. After all it was the old days when games didn't have micro transaction stores right at the tip of your finger tips.
However what is forgotten entirely was the fact that other players in even old games were using off websites to purchase gear / characters / and gold dating back to early diablo 2 and many other games.
Now if you take a second to ponder on that, then it is simple. Every game at one point or another has a way to pay cash for an advantage. (At least multiplayer games that have some sort of competitive side to it)
This may just be my point of view, but hope it helps!
Have a good one man!
Btw you should really have someone remake your sig. Could get a much crispier Anivia then that.
