sad grand finals, hbox isn't even happy about his win. he looks back at the crowd and sees a bunch of disappointed melee fans.

it probably would've been better for almost everyone involved if leffen beat hbox and then plup beat leffen in grand finals


also it seems like armada uses down smash a lot more now as peach instead of getting chain grabs/better combos nowadays, not every time but probably a bit too often. he starts movin less. it's a pretty nice crouch cancel counter tho

Maybe it's just the Sheik matchup

i think i've noticed him doing it vs pretty much every char recently, but i haven't been watching a ton of smash lately

Maybe he's been stomping too many noobs.
Picking up bad habits because it's so easy to just spam downsmash on them.
Or maybe he's been watching too much MacD

yea i was kinda thinkin those things haha. i also saw some people say 2017 is the year of the crouch cancel on twitter, idk why because people have been using that for a long ass time.

also his practice partner, his brother android, mains sheik and is really good.. but not on the level of people like plup or m2k, it would be insane for android to take a tournament set off armada. he is dual maining and maybe he's focusing a lot more on fox now and loses some of his peach skill, he used to do 0 to death combos insanely well and pretty much every match with her. but on top of that plup definitely got better.

every finals being hbox vs armada, or having 1 of them in it always is pretty dull.

Especially when both playstyles are pretty boring to watch but really hard to play versus.

Armada's Peach is just the edgeguard master
So a lot of the time you're just watching someone trying to get back on stage for 15 seconds straight

But his Fox is pretty aggressive
Plup Sheik vs Armada Fox they were right in each other's faces

Jigglypuff is definitely not great for spectators though
