So people going around selling *every* legendary and set item is legit? Man I just can't help but feel like there's no way multiple people found every legendary on their own

Most people are selling dupes. Myself and Endure are both fully legit, just be careful of prices that are really low, i have seen a few people selling at 1fg/5m and i can almost guarantee they are dupes/consoled/hexed etc as there is no way anyone who got the gold/items legit would be selling so cheap.

You have most likely played diablo 2, right? Whenever you bought an enigma or hrs or other stuff did you ever ask the seller how they got the item, legit or botting? Or did you even care?

Just saying that if one is buying something does he care more about the price or the source (i'm not bashing here anyone)? I mean each to their, I wouldn't pay enormous sums for something i could get much cheaper.

To put it simply,. Torchlight 1 and 2 items are ridiculously easy to dupe/edit/copy - don't pay more than you think is fair.
Regardless what anyone tells you, most TL items are not acquired by legitimate ways - simply because there is no way to check whether they are legitimate or not. There simply is no difference.
