On single player normal, what level will I be when I beat the game the first time?


I'm playing a pure frost embermage, but bosses seem to require molten spear, because icy doesn't do shit to them damage-wise.
My build finishes around level 100, should I invest anything into the fire tree for bosses?


Is there a gamebreaking set I should buy on jsp through online play? There are a lot of different uniques and sets being sold, and I'm a bit lost.


Do I need to extremely limit my vitality (eg. perfect world) so I don't lose damage or the ability to wear a certain set?

I also play a frost embermage. The only skill you need in fire is charge mastery. Right now I only have 5 points in it, and almost always have full cahrge. I would get rid of magma spear as soon as you can.

Ice wave is going to be your best friend for everything. Icy blast works great with staff mastery as a debuff. Blizzard is also a great debuff as well as good damamge. Should also max ice prison. Keeps everything away as well as hitting for massive damage 65k+

Beginning of ng+ is lvl 50, so you should be there or higher. If you need any other help, pm me!

Went with the basic forum tldr guide, max icy to spam it until full charge > hailstorm. Max fate and the other passive.

That was level 100~ with +1 in everything else.

Should I be focusing on something else, and staff mastery, over hailstorm?


Currently have 5 in icy/fate/other passive + 1 in teleport and the rest in hailstorm @ about lvl 23.

This is how I have my build for lvl 100. Right now I'm lvl 70 and hit 45k+

Fire:
5-10 in charge mastery.

Frost:
5 in icy blast
max hailstorm
1 in teleport
max elemental boon
max ice waves
max ice prison
max staff mastery
10 in frozen fate
max ice brand

Storm:
max prismatic rift.

Any extra points are up to you. I have a few points in astral ally.

Yes. I wouldn't put any more into icy.

before you put more points into a skill make sure you have enough mana to spam it. So depending if you are fighting a tougher enemy or not, I start off with elemental boon to beef up my ice damage, then ice prison the champion or boss. Or if I am surrounded I will ice prison myself for protection. If you want even more ice damage then use icy spear to debuff, works awesome with staff mastery. Then hailstorm, the spam frost wave. Rinse repeat. If it's just a low mob, a couple frost waves should take them out.

So spread out your points at the start. get the 5 into charge right away, and 5 into prismatic. You can leave that for awhile then add more to prismatic when you start dying more often. Main ones you want to level at the start are frost wave, hailstorm, ice brand, and ice prison

should i burn a reset and put icy back to level 1?

it's not destroying my mana, but i can't spam it for damage or anything

Nah, keep it at 5. Remeber, icy isn't really built for damage. More for a debuff, especially with staff mastery, it shreds resistances.
