I was playing single-player on Veteran but got to a part where I could have benefited from being a couple levels higher, so I hoped online. But, I am a little confused on how the quest's are working.
Are they still individual or are they shared? If they are individual, can you join games where the quest you need is already completed or are you limited to games where they are on earlier or the same quest?
What about side-quests?

Quests are individuals, for exemple...im playing in act2 and i doing the final quest (breaking the siege)you enter in my game and you have to beat the manticore ...lets say that i beat the manticore earlier, before you join my game server, you will be able to complete the manticore quest the dungeon / place where he spawn will *reset* as long as no one else is in the dungeon / place when you get in.

Same thing for side quests.
