I'm about to start a new character and I have a some questions regarding Embermage.

If I have a +% wand & staff damage bonus, does that affect the damage I do with
prismatic bolt; that is, assuming I'm using a wand? Also I'm assuming +% elemental
damage works with prismatic bolt right?

No,that means your BASIC WAND ATTACK have the + % bonus

Stick with your wand + a shield much better than a 2 handed staff...as you get to ng +++ and +4-+5 monsters gets tougher and you will see your life drop like crazy if you dont block. If i can do a suggestion max death's bounty ( truly a life saver) its always on my mages switch skill (using tab). I also only build focus and vit on all my mages. If you have any question feel free to ask..mages are my favorite class and it what i play 80% of the time =)

Thanks that's what I assumed. I've been playing outlander, and this ring with +50% electric dmg dropped and wanted to use it.

Haha,no problem buddy,feel free to ask every questions you have =) . For the ring tho...read carefully the description of pris bolt...you might want to use other electrical damage spells.
