hi
so my first question is that there are lots of spells that inflicts a percentage of my weapon dps, do i need to put most of my stat points on strenght then? will i be able to build a char that is based on weapon dps, and hit above 100-200k?
if a weapon has an attribute that gives me e.g. 1000 phisical dmg dealt over 5 second, does it count as weapon dps, will it be added to the base weapon dps? and lastly i d prefer to build a hunter zerker with a shadow summon and shadow leap but will you be able to inflict more dmg with the frost build then the hunter build? i ask it couse i have more or less a frost build so far (im lvl 32 or so) and i hit way more with it, then with the hunter build, even if im naked.
thx

Alright, I'll help you out a bit here.

Every skill that is based on Weapon DPS gets stronger with points into strenght. Focus does not work directly on DPS based skills, BUT, if lets say you deal the percentage of weapon DPS as an elemental damage like fire or frost, focus will raise that damage. Focus also raises of the DoT(damage over time) of skills

You definitely need to be putting points intro strenght if you want to use auto attacking most of the time. Strenght raises your weapon DPS and gives you a higher % of critical damage. Focus gives you more mana, more elemental spell damage and a higher execute chance. However the Zerker has the skills executioner, which raises charge rate and execute chances significantly (Only affects you if you are dual wielding).

I would definitely say str>focus as an normal/auto attacking zerker. The extra DPS and crit dmg is very important. However focus is a good stat, I'm not entirely sure how or when it becomes relevant. I would say if you make a caster zerker, focus is the better choice.

Attributes on weapons that deal something like 1000 physical over 5 seconds does NOT count as or add to weapon DPS.

Regarding builds, check out this thread:

will i be albe to hit about 200k dmg when im lvl 100 with full gear, sockets and enchants? i m a little confused about the weapon DPS skills. i checked and the highest weapon DPS a weapon can have is about 1k, but when i lvled up my outlander it s throw glave ability dealt about 6-7k dmg without gear, and it s not even critical hit. i needed to start increasing my damage with additional poison dmg %-s and focus, from 6k, not from 1k. with the berserker if i put most of my attribute points to strenght i ll have abour 2k weapon DPS, i cant add more dmg to it with elemental dmg percentage, couse it doesnt use elemental dmg, and i can only add +40 str attribute socketables to my gear, couse that s the highest amount of str attribute a socketable can give you. and ofc attribute echants, but i can put attribute enchants to my outlanders gear as well. and like this my outlander barely hit above 100k (i didnt put attribute enchants to its gear so far, with the +100-200 focus attributes /gear, i d hit a lot i know). my question is, how can you make builds with 300-400k dmg?? i saw someone took a screenshot of it and put it up here, in the TL2 forum.

is +xxx phisical damage attribute added to the weapon dps?
for example there s a claw with 900 Weapon DPS and with an attribute that gives +100 to phisical dmg. does that count as 1000 weapon DPS or it s still 900. i ask it couse of the weapon DPS based skills, i want to increase their dmg with a vellinqeu skull in weapons (+200 to phisical dmg) if it affects the weapon dps.
