I'm not sure either! Id love to test but it seems you get a lot for very little.
Reminds me of barbarian d2 breakpoints

I don't know if there is one.
Tbh, i wouldn't be surprised if there isn't.
Considering the game is meant to be modded and such.
Kinda would like to know myself for my Embermage.

there might not be a cap but you probably get diminishing returns on it. i.e. the more and more you stack the less effective it is.

was just messing with this..definetly dimishing returns..same with attack speed, drops drasticly right around 65% ++
ill mess a little more with it tonight.

yeah as expected, a cast animation still has to play all the way through as well. You have to keep that into consideration.

Hmmm, interesting.. Good to know. So then attack speed ideally would be smart to cap around 65?

There isn't a cap on cast rate as far as I know. Testing out attack speed of .88 attack time:

Attack time decrease by a 1/x fashion so attacks per second (aka 1/attack time) rises linearly with IAS. So it really isn't a diminishing return. The IAS (and I assume cast speed also) is close to the formula: Attacks Per Second*(1+%IAS)

eg 30 IAS on that .88 attack time weapon is about
1.136*1.30 = 1.477

Maybe this works different with different base weapons though (faster or slower). I don't really care to test it out

Oh yeah this also makes sense because if you had +100% cast rate/IAS, you'd expect to do two times the attack you can every second

The cast rate on TL1 got pretty fun during end game.

that spell that grants you 30% ias/fcr is pretty beastly
