what are some good builds and what should I throw my stats into

Stats:


If gonna be using Spells that are based off weapon dps focus on stre/dex/vit.

IF gonna be using Spells that use Elemental damage focus on Focus/Vit.

Play and figure it out. Isn't that how people play games?

Or do we like being told how to play?

Well this is the first thing I looked into because why build a piece of crap character?

Common sense though, unless you have never played a RPG.

Not really. Common sense wont get you too far in a game that has so many game specific mechanics.

Not to mention small mistakes early can echo heavily to late game very easily. All it takes is one skill point early to require a complete remake which is about 20 hours of gameplay...



Everyone needs a starting point.
And its far easier to just tell him '15/15 heal bot. 15/15 force field. 1-15/15 dynamo field or shield bash is a core for every engineer' instead of beating around the bush like you are.

Make your character unique. That's some of the wonders of this game that d3 doesnt have, is diversity.
Build's are stretched and you can really make a character unique and different.
It's not like d3 we're a Barbarian will more then likely ALWAYS be a whirlwind barb.
Everyone will always have something different to say about certain thing's you should do.
