When it says <Name> has entered the area there will be (!) after it says they entered the area.

you can go in the save file and remove it though so there is no 100% way of knowing.

Imo don't trade with anyone you TRUELY know or if some has a vouch..
They came out with a way to hide it, at least so i've heard.
