Found out about this from a friend:

Drag the unidentified item over to the 'Buyback from Vendors' tab
Put it in the tab.
Item will be Identified

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this, just thought it'd help for some gamblers out there.

Only thing that sucks is that i need to roll a lvl 45-60 char and keep him there to gamble/farm bosses for mid lvl gear i need

you can also drag onto close tab in the buyback to get back items for free
