both in 1 becuz torchlight 1 was not multiplayer and relatively old so theres not much to talk about other than builds or showing off items or something for that. torchlight 2 is multiplayer so trading and searching for parties n stuff can be taken advantage of and the community isn't as large as other games. thats my guess.
