I'm seeing that a lot of classes (appear) to have access to pets.

Pet AI is notoriously bad in many games. Out of curiosity how is pet ai...

Versus monsters

Versus other players (I've been told PvP is out)

Interesting, but that doesn't really answer my question.

How often does your pet attack what you're attacking? If there are stuns or snares in the game, does the pet focus those who have these debuffs?

Erm, I should've asked in my original post, but how much control do you have over your pet? Does it have a "move" command or something like that where you can tell it where to go?

Every character gets a pet, the pets in this game are more used for inventory management and to buy potions/scrolls, but the pets have good AI with the spells you give to them.

Can't move your pet unless you move, also can't tell a pet what to attack. I haven't tested pets in pvp yet.

That's good to hear.

I know it's a bad comparison, but in games like World of Warcraft your pet control is absolutely terrible. They break cc, don't attack focused target, get stuck in places and glitch out, and there are a plethora of other mechanical issues.

In D2 at least you can resummon a pet if it's not attacking the right target, or Teleport to better position your minion(s) if they're not hitting their mark.

Interesting! Thanks for the info.

pet is good man, i dont normally like " pets "

you have the option to make them Aggressive / Defensive/ Passive. They do good damage and can keep monsters off your tail.

you can have them pick up items by shift/ clicking the item

you can also send them to town to buy potions and stuff, its pretty fast.
