I was gifted this game through steam and it seems fairly fun. My problem is I have a hard time getting into games where its all open source and you can basically discover every item in the game or modify your gold etc and then move into public games with that gear on. Will this game have any online "ranked" mode? One where items and gold cannot be accessed other than through actual playtime?

They've already stated that one such thing will not exist, they're supposed to flag you if you use any mods, but everyone here rather they admit it or not knows people will find a workaround for that pretty fast.
