Aegis might be useful if it scaled with level instead of by phys armor...i have 500armor at 56, so that's a measly 1100 absorption.

Compared to my 5 charge FF well over 10k...another engineer on here said he gets 50k FF's @ ~90+lvl. I guess there is question that you could go aegis for when FF is down but lets face it, it's rarely down and I believe the points could be better spent doing more damage.

But hey, the cool thing about this game is you can play it how you want and it still be ok! If you like Aegis, then take it :D

I agree with sword and board, I won't level it until I've got nothing else to level. For aegis it's a nice backup, but I won't put much point in it early game, I'll focus on other skills.

As for supercharge I don't agree at all, with 10ish pts and a fast enough weapon, supercharge can be active almost all the time (it can refresh during it's on!) and give 70% bonus dammage, wich is noticable.

I also think investing more points in shield bash, against groups it's good because you have some sort of AoE and good chance to stun or at least reduce attack speed, wich helps for tanking. For single mobs it's also good! With healbot recharging your mana once in a while and adding a mana pot you can easily spam this skill non-stop. You have a chance to stun it for no dammage or even just knock it back a bit so the attack misses you. win/win imo. All I wonder is how this skill carry on late game. I don't know if shield armor will follow game's progression, but at tier 2 it's 10x shield and 3 is 12.5x so I think it should be pretty good.

I also just noticed this in shield bash description: '' Each Charge you currently have provides an additional 10% damage bonus.'' So, granted your FF is up, you even do an additionnal 50% damage!

Also thinking I should put points in Charge Domination, final build isn't decided yet, I'll start by maxing Healbot/FF/Supercharge and we'll see after.

I pretty much pooled my stats until I needed for gear or if I felt like I needed some more stats. Currently I have 100 points pooled trying to decide how I want to play to lvl100. But for the most part I did str/vit with no dex/focus due to wanting to be tanky as all hell.

I've played through elite (non hc atm) with very minimal deaths just using dynamo/5 charge FF and letting summonable zombies/archers kill everything. I went full defensive due to wanting to swap up to hc soon and I must say, at 56 now I barely drop.

Worst thing to worry about are the damn werewolves in a3...lol

Also, sword and board sucks balls early on, and doesnt really shine till end game with a solid shield on.

Aegis is really good as you get more skills into it, cause it shines mid game/late game.

Exactly what I was thinking, so I'll put a hold on those both and focus on other skills first. Wich dammage skill should I get? I'm pretty confused on wich one to pick. Can't be flame hammer because I'm using claws.

Ive experimented alot with my engineer, i found auto atk with supercharge is my base auto atk. But for nuking down absolutely ridiculous amounts of damage, i just use Emberquake with Fire and spark as synergy. Its simply stupid how much damage it does. Rest of my shit is all defensive, and i rip through content pretty damn fast for a tank.

Cant use claws tho :/ what atk speed are you looking at on weapons

I dont use claws either, sword ftw. Base atk spd on the weapon is .64, then i have a shitload of atk speed ontop of it (28% just on the weapon). Supercharge allows me to have serious AOE cleave on top of my base cone aoe i have with the weapon.

If u ever run 2hand, a polearm with supercharge is pretty ridiculous. Slow, but ridiculous.
