infact the real way to do this is if there is 4+ of the same item ' lets say swords ' the highest priced 1 " can also be more than 1 ' is 95% of the time a unique \ legendary....its not 100% but i do get them damn near EVERY time.

It's working there because it's a low level vendor. It works there for me as well, but the uniques are all level ~40.

This is working for me at high levels... I get uniques 80% of the time with this method

This works and doesn't work. It all depends on; your level, the vendor's level, your stats, your class.

works best if your in the map creation area with that gambler...i get uniques 95% of the time, and if you go by this method you'll nearly always get a unique \ legendary " if there is 4X any item, buy the most expensive one and itll be unique \ legendary most the time " thank me later.
