For those of you that got to play the beta, how promising is this game?


Also, what are the chances this game will run slowly on my computer? When I played the D3 trial on here it ran at half the speed it should have run at, and that was with the lowest graphics setting.

Very good game. Gameplay awesome.

Let me spill the bad news about the game:
There are no closed bnet characters. Everything is open bnet style, your single player character is your online character. On the plus side they have opened the option of private servers by players, so they can maybe make it closed bnet style.

I played the beta, and have the game preorded. You can find this on torrents if you are good at looking.

I realize that this was the case for the beta, but they aren't releasing a closed bnet type thing for the actual game either? I have it preordered too, and would really like that.

thats how they are keeping it as far as i heard.

The beta is awesome :). I think that when the game releases it'll be a total hit now that there is multiplayer. It's a heavy diablo clone so be ready to be like "They stole that from Diablo" only because the leads I believe were also the lead designers of Diablo. One of the best parts is it's $20 and if you pre-purchase it on Steam you get Torchlight 1 as well!

Yes, there is no clsoed bnet, however you will only be able to play with people running the exact same mod loadout as you so if you host a public Vanillt TL2 game only fellow Vanilla players can join.
