Mauritania's U-15 National Team has withdrawn from an international tournament after being stomped 6-0 by Sierra Leone. They argue that there's an obivous lack of control over age restriction, and that they feel compelled to withdraw in order to protect their players from injuries due to the age difference.

I remember there was a huge age debate when Mbemba joined Anderlecht. Always figured he was way older aswell.

There were plenty of African players giving false information about their age. Age cheating is a common practice in African football to an extent that players in amateur leagues are known to have two ages, the football age and the real age.
