so apparently a group stage exist against mexico, sweden, and fucking south korea when you're the reigning world champion and have the players we have is not that bad. leaving a player like sané at home and making glaring tactical errors again and again is completely acceptable and forgivable.

joachim fucking löw decided he wants to stay after all and sit out his ridiculous contract, what a complete asshat - despite stating that he 'accepts responsibility' and 'some major changes have to be made'.
that was probabably the best 'tactical' decision of his whole career: to feign retiring while pretending he just doesn't want to make a rash decision so the public disappointment with our unexpectedly bad performance isn't too fresh. he accepts 'responsibility' but draws no consequences. he will make some 'major changes' but no one knows what that means - probably he'll get a different stupid haircut, the fucking wanker...

and how retarded is our association to not only allow him to do that, but to publicly back him from the moment of our historic exit (it was the first time that germany got eliminated in group stage), basically begging him to stay?

i honestly was completely fine with our elimination as i expected that it would open everyone's eyes to what i've been saying since at least 2010, assuming that not even the DFB could be stupid enough to hold on to these frauds any longer after such an embarrassing performance. but fuck that, NOW i'm mad!

How long is left on his contract?

Really weird seeing him stay, where there any other favourites to take over?

Why would he want to leave, he's not gonna get even half as well paid and cosy job anywhere else.

his contract was extended to 2022 shortly before he nominated our preliminary squad back in may.

there were no clear favourites to take over, no one positioned themselves publicly. some people said sammer, i personally would have loved either hitzfeld or heynckes to come back from retirement, and amongst the realistic and available candidates my clear favourite was hrubesch.

but i would have taken the fucking saudi sports minister who pulled rank on pizzi to decide who has to play, or some random 13 year old who is any good at FIFA 18 over löw...

this shouldn't really be about what HE wants, but even still you'd think that a somewhat self-aware human being would realise how badly they fucked up, have some dignity, and draw personal consequences. also, almost the entire world still rates him as a manager, i'm sure he could easily get a well-paid job in the middle or far east...

Also another thing, this forum is filled with people who don't agree with Löw, but in the media sector (atleast the english and belgian one) there seems to be way less hate towards Löw.

Don't know how German media is tho.

sold - i'm 100% certain you're more competent than him. there is no way you would have left our biggest offensive talent at home, or looked at our friendly performances against austria and saudi-arabia and concluded 'this is fine, we're totally gonna defend our title playing EXACTLY like this'...

well, the thing is: people who come to this forum have at least SOME clue about football. the media and the rest of the world are more like the casual fans who watch it from far away and only once every 4 years - amongst my volleyball teammates there are plenty of people who think i'm crazy for hating löw and are genuinely surprised when i explain it to them, they just don't watch football. they know he became world cup winner with germany and that shit happens in football. they don't see that this shit didn't just 'happen', this wasn't a freak accident but a catastrophe in the making for a long, long time...

the incompetence and complacency truly have no limits within our association, its absolutely mind boggling
this campaign was THE ultimate failure on every level as a coach

ridiculous squad decisions
retarded line ups
epic tactical fails
dreadful physical state of the team
no passion, no desire and huge problems off the pitch as well

you cant possibly make more mistakes, if you were doing it on purpose
him out of all people talking about change is laughable, he had all the time in the world to bring something new into the team
he is the problem and not part of the solution

to be fair, the officials are just as bad in their bubble and cringeworthy marketing crap and hashtags

now our title window will go to waste, not only did he throw the easiest way to the title in decades away this year, but the future looks grim as well like this

RIP, it was fun while it lasted and this team is literally dead to me
one can only that as many people as possible will turn their back on this bullshit and the stadiums will be empty

2022, they just gave him another one directly before the tournament despite the old one running until 2020
no reason at all to do that

well, except $$$$

our media is pretty much 50/50 from my perspective

however the thing with foreign media is, that they have no idea how incompetent this guy is and he almost ruined the wc 2014 as well

I see, thanks.

I feel like I understand that he's staying, when he hears the media instead of you people.
I think if the media acted the same as you guys did, he would have backed down.
