He's usually the type of player that tries hard to do well, but over all just runs around like a headless chicken. He has improved this season though... but still, I'm surprised Lopetegui would start him over Diego Costa or Aspas.

goal was a good shot, what you expect from a striker. other than that much effort, not a bad game at all, and i wouldn't have called it "headless" to be honest, did not focus on him specifically though. you could tell he really wanted to prove himself and in scoring a goal i'd say he achieved that.
the only thing i did NOT like is that at least in this game looked he has quite a dodgy first touch, lost control and possessions due to it a couple of times.

Thanks. Yeah, he's a hard worker, which is something I appreciate... but indeed, his first touch (as well as much of the things that involve some skill/technique), is pretty bad. Hope he does well in the WC, because Lopetegui seems to like him, and looking at how he chose him as a starter tonight, I guess it's very likely that he will be called up for the tournament.
