One of my favourite players of all time. Basically a hero for me since my childhood. Not only was he world class and a joy to watch, but he has my eternal respect for rejecting offers from greater clubs due to his love for Roma, choosing his club over titles and money.

He was so good during his prime, I'm sure he could have been one of the greatest of his generation if he had been playing for Madrid, Milan, etc, surrounded by better team mated. I personally believe he deserved the 2007 Ballon d'Or more than anyone else, even though Kaká deserved it too and you can't say he wasn't a good pick. And that was 10 years go, it's amazing how he has managed to extend his career at the highest level like this... even if he is now obviously a shadow of his former self and barely gets any playtime, it's amazing he's still around at age 40.

Really, really, really wish I could watch this game, but Mallorca is playing a decisive game against Numancia at the same time :/

A legend of football? Well, he's definitely a legend for Roma. I understand that many will argue, and it'd be a good point, that it's hard to call someone a legend when they've spent mot of their career without a shot at major titles and playing the CL only if all went well for their clubs... but the world of football needs more players like Totti. I find people like him, Le Tissier, Gerrard, etc to be inspiring for football romantics all over the world, and as such I do consider him a legend of football, and I thank him for what he has done for the game.

Arrivederci e grazie, Francesco! :hail:

Best compliment I can pay him is that he was almost as good as Gerrard
