he's a one-man wrecking ball. Setback United several years then nearly put Sociedad and actually put Sunderland to the sword.
Who's next?

Sunderland forum reaction the news

Sorry but that's not the case. He was literally given EVERYTHING he could have ever wanted when taking over a club but he managed to blow it. 5 year contract, knew he was taking over before the last season has ended, unlimited money for transfers etc... but between his awful tactics (if you can even call them tactics) and his worse than a rock personality, there's no way he can manage a top flight team. He just found success at a very underachieving club with obviously no expectations of doing better

i kinda agree, the united decline began with sir alex doing nothing to rebuild and squeezing every last bit out of a mediocre team before leaving

I will admit that moyes isn't fit for a top club at all. I was just also trying to help him a bit

Still the team carried quite some momentum becoming champions with time to spare.

tbf that was mostly because the other teams were rebuilding and RVP had the season of his life

Well yes but they didn't play scrubs either.

Let's put it this way, another Sir Alex season probably resulted in another top 3 finish.

Big names and big wages don't always mean best. He was left a squad that won the league by 11 points and lost on goal differential the year before. I'm all honesty it's probably easier to manage that team than a team full of egos
