IGN are gonna give it a 9.5/10 every year so let's hear from the real fans, you guys. I've been really disappointed with FIFA 15 and 16, so much so that I'm waiting on fan opinion before buying this year.

Is it more balanced in terms of defence/midfield/attack? Do passes go to the right player? Are there OP strategies that everyone abuses, i.e. wing play, lobbed through balls, pace, corners? iso opinions

I like it better than the last one. Still a few annoying things with it but overall I think it's much better balanced than before.

Better than previous fifas that's for sure.

You can actually score from corners now, longshots are op, injuries are a real thing, but the squad building challenger are fun, your packed players don't seem worthless anymore.
I feel like they're going to nerf passes, because as of right now, almost every pass goes to the player you wanted to pass to.

The journey is also fun, so I enjoy it at the moment. They're also doing new squad building challenger every week, which will bring back players imo.

Long shots are op? Really?
I have only played 6-7 games, and whenever I try long shots they go over the net... And in Fifa 16 most of my long shots went in or got me a corner.

I think long shots were more op in the last Fifa.

Yeah they did
Funny they try to fix something but always break something else.
Last year it was stamina. This year dribbling.
Its really hard to dribble. Beat the first defender so the second can just destroy you unless you pass...
Still best fifa since 13 imo

IMO they only "fixed"/weakened dribbling because last year everyone and their mums were conplaining about it being too easy to do or too difficult to defend.

Dribbling is harder this time, but also a lot more realistic.

They also added some great new optios with those new types of headers, shots and passes. Only bad thing, like it was with 16 AS well, is that they basically force you to use them in order to be good.

I've never used the downwards header yet, is it good? I mean regular headers seem fine too
