He's probably not that big of a name outside of Spain's borders, but surely those of you who have been watching football for over a decade remember the motor of that Deportivo that won La Liga, Copa and turned a 4-1 around against an all powerful Milan to reach CL semis.

After starting of his carreer in hometown club Las Palmas, he graced Mallorca, Atlético and Deportivo with his football vision and talent. Now back at his dear Las Palmas, he has decided to finish carreer at age 40. Today he played his last game.



Shame that injuries butchered the last half of his carreer... with his playstyle he would have been a perfect fit for la Roja's tiki-taka football.

i still remember how he and makaay obliterated bayern with deportivo and sent us packing in the group stage ^^
