I love live games, but when saving for a house going through the time and effort to get tickets for £40+ just to go sit out in the cold when I can easily watch it at home with a beer is just madness.

That's not how it works.. At least with Newcastle.. Season ticket holders get thier allocated tickets, then club members get priority on leftovers, only then do they go on general sale. Even when this is the case you can only get tickets listed for the next 4-5 games max. Can't just phone up and say I want a ticket for the last game of the season.
