Poor gary. still 0 wins in spain.
but read that they have actually came back from defeat in the final minutes 5 times already under his charge.
Personally think he's doing ok tho. English lad cant speak spanish but with all these come backs (to draw the game ofc), his players are clearly fighting for him.

any loliga experts here care to give ya 2 cents on how gary and valencia is doing in spain?

He has been awful so far. Yeah, they managed to secure 1 point in the lat 5 minutes this weekend... against a team that still hasn't won a single game in 2016 (I think it's 6 consecutive games without a win).

They couldn't even beat Las Palmas at home in the first leg of the Copa del Rey quarter finals, which is a total joke (1-1). They'll be playing the second leg this week; if they get knocked out it will be ridiculous, as the Copa is pretty much the only thing that can save their season.

Their former manager, Nuno, clashed with many of the players in the team and with the majority of fans, which led to poor results and being sacked. Neville doesn't have to face these hostilities, and is doing worse...

In his defense though, I have to say that the squad Valencia has is full of overrated mediocrity and no marks with only a handful of quality players. The owner, Peter Lim, has injected money only to buy the garbage his friend Jorge Mendes has scattered around Portugal and South America. They've basicly followed the philosophy most EPL clubs follow (and end up being raped by mediocre sides in the CL/EL): buy overrated flashy names that are recommended by player agents instead of what their scouts say.

However, it's still no excuse for Neville or any other manager to finish below the EL spots, or have mediocre performances in Copa and european competitions. The team is not good enough to finish in the top 4 (they were extremely lucky last year, with Sevilla focusing on winning the EL and Valencia having no european competitions to play as they had finished 8th the previous season), but anything below 6th-7th with this team is ridiculous.

The fans are growing more and more against Peter Lim. And it's no wonder because even though Neville is doing a bad job so far, it's the owner's decisions that have led to this.

Only filling the gap until he takes the England team. Pretty much his destiny.

Not sure about that one bit, the Valencia job might cost him the England manager position.

oh dear. I hope the peter lim part isnt all accurate since he's pretty shrewd as a businessman. The english papers did not really write all these things so its coming pretty rough for gary now. Hope he quickly get that 1st win. still in january more than enuff time to climb up to at least el spot
