Ireland vs Poland is a huge match now. Winner goes through.

well not JUST luck. they knew they were the clearly inferiour team and had no problem defending with 10 men from minute one despite playing at home. and they did it very well and bravely, too: i've never seen a team block so many shots and crosses, they literally threw themselves into every ball they could see. great spirit.

and the fans were amazing too: they celebrated every block, every challenge, every clearance like a goal. i can't imagine german fans showing that kind of enthusiasm for such basic, and let's be honest here, ugly stuff. i wouldn't mind ireland actually qualifying directly but for that they'd have to win in poland which i just don't see happening given how limited their offense is...
