Watching the Mainz/hod match right now. Muto and Malli looks like a quality duo you have there tbh. Another fun game to watch. That run the one dude went on for the second goal was sexual.

really glad you liked it. it was a game that showed that bundesliga has more to offer than just bayern, dortmund and a bunch of random teams imo. a nice result for us, too.

malli became really solid for us towards the end of last season and he was one of the main reasons why koo (a player i was very excited about when we signed him from wolfsburg) ultimately did not make it in mainz and now went back to one of his former clubs, augsburg.

muto seems to be our main man up front for now, another japanese striker replacing okazaki - although he's a completely different type of player. very talented though, incredibly fast and also with a good attitude (already becoming somewhat of a fan favourite). what he lacks is lethality in front of goal and the physical presence of shinji but so far i'm quite pleased.

i won't deny, however, that hoffenheim is really in bad form atm, just one point out of five games so i won't overrate this result...

I would only watch bundesliga if I was at the stadium.
At the moment at least. However if they get better players in the future, then I might watch more.

RWC is awesome though...

It's a shame that in Madrid I don't have satelite TV to watch it, the 2007 event hooked me and I enjoy the RWC and the 6N since then (although I haven't watched anything since I began studying in Madrid 4 years ago).

The way rugby is run is terrible though, the guys running the sport barely do anything to increase it's popularity and competitive level in weaker countries. It's the 3rd biggest WC sports event after football and cricket, and yet they waste all that potential market in Europe (bar UK, France and Italy) and in other populated countries around the world.

Yeah, it's the same in Spain. And it will continue to be that way aslong as they keep stopping these nations from developing their level.

6/8 european teams in the RWC are automatically qualified for the event... the rest of the countries have to fight for just 2 spots. And since the big nations are automatically qualified and play their exclusive tournament (6 Nations), the smaller nations don't get a chance to compete and learn from the big boys and there's no chance anyone will be interested in going to the stadium to watch Spain or Germany play other teams that are just as garbage as them.

If the guys running the sport did their job better then I'm sure they could raise rugby's popularity in Europe to somewhere near handball/basketball level.
