So the Serie B (Italian second division) is adding a new card to the system, aka the green card.

Every time a player admits something in a positive way (eg: Ref it wasn't a penalty I tripped) he will get a green card, at the end of the competition the player with the most green cards will get a reward.

This is a way they are trying to motivate fair play and make the game more respected.

What are your toughts on this? I have doubts that this would be imported in the bigger divisions.

i like the general idea: to incentivise fair play.

the system, however, kind of sends the wrong message which is: fair play is a "bonus" and cheating is the rule.
i mean it's kinda true unfortunately but... i'd prefer promoting fair play by punishing cheating and gamesmanship with the tools a ref and his assistens already have at their disposal...

i would handle this like the premier league does
banning divers, actors and other cheating players with video evidence and be done with it

especially those dives when players pretend that they got hit on the head are so fucking annoying
ban these guys and it will disappear in no time

Doesn't happen enough in the prem tbh.. Still see countless of dives without punishment.
