The Spanish football federation says it is suspending all end-of-season games in disputes with the government, including over TV rights.
A federation statement (in Spanish) said it was also unhappy with receiving only 4.55% of pools revenue, though it said it was still open to dialogue.
All matches will be suspended from 16 May, including the domestic cup final.
In the top division, Barcelona lead La Liga rivals Real Madrid by two points, with only three games left to play.
In the statement, the federation said it acted after three-month talks with the government had failed to resolve the dispute.
The Spanish government has so far made no public comment on the issue.
"The initial assumption is that this move has been taken in an attempt to head off a players strike which had been threatened for that weekend," said Andy West, a Spanish football expert.
"Players are unhappy with some terms of the deal, including the low percentage of revenue on offer to lower league clubs.
"The issue of TV rights is a long running one with most people recognising that Barca and Real receive far too much at the moment. Realigning it is not easy though," Mr West added.

Villar, the shady Führer that has been ruling the spanish FA for the almost 3 decades now, wants more money so he can keep corrupting the system and stay in power.

It shouldn't be too big of an issue, because the LFP and the government are fed up with Villar and they'll probably be adamant about the deal in order to weaken his position. The problem is that players' union was surprisingly excluded from the tv deal law, and since they aren't going to be getting a share of the money, they are probably going to side with Villar. This is a much bigger problem for the LFP and the government because the players are the key element in football after all... if they become Villar's ally then there will probably be a strike and we could be in for a long negotiation (I suppose they'd be carried out during the summer, with threats from the players of delaying the upcoming season, which btw has to start a bit earlier in order to finish before the Euro).

Play has been suspended since the season began except for Madrid and Barca anyway. Explains the goal and point differential.
