Me and my 4 uni housemates play vs randomers who want to play us at the park 5 a side football courts.

The people we play against usually play there every night so of course are much better than us. But we are a much more physical team and press them on the ball a lot. They cant cope with the pressure, we steal possession and then score. I think all year we might have lost like 2 times. Trollen and Irvine you are welcome to get a 5 a side team and play us ;)

So does anyone here actually play 5 a side or at the park cos I find it way more fun than 11 a side personally.

I also enjoy 5 a side more than 11... it's more practical aswell because it's much easier to get 10 people together than 22.

I don't play with randoms though because I already have a group of friends ouut of which we can always get 10 people to play. We don't play street football though, we play futsal.

If lots of people want to play then we play sevens on turf though.

Bruh I am quite possibly the shittest football player in england, and that's saying something. Whenever I play I'm in goal, good with the hands, really really shitty with the feet :D

I used to play professionally and attracted big attention of very big clubs just 2 years ago, my positions where Left Back, CDM, and sometimes CAM avg in 5th highest league was 30 games played 11 goals, 19 assists. My Physicality was compared to Djibolodji and Akinfenwa combined. Usually when I played other team ended up with 2-3 injured players, but then a unexpected happen and suicide Turkish terrorist blew himself up during one game and to save my team mates I took shrapnel from the mine and completely messed up my back. I was a hero, only now I will never play professionally again

I rarely play 5aside. It is fun and a great way to work on footskills and receiving and turning under pressure, but normal 11 a side is what i play the most and what I love to play.

just by this quote i can tell you play in a proper team and for quite some time as well i'd guess.

it's something i've noticed a lot: most people who play 11 v 11 in an organised team in a proper league on a regular basis just end up loving it eventually, even if there's a lot of grinding and running involved early on.
but when a team comes together, when everyone has their task, plays to their strengths and ends up contributing - there's no greater feeling than that. a real team effort as it's supposed to be imo.

doesn't mean 5v5 or 6v6 on a small field can't be fun. it's great to dribble and score and try out some fancy stuff you wouldn't dare in a league game but imo it doesn't quite compare to a real football match...

5 a side is for small technical players or very good pressers of the ball. I happen to be the latter B) In 11 a side I have to stay out on the wing which I dislike so I prefer 5 a side

Well, it depends on your personal approach to the game when you play.

When I play with my friends it's just to fool around and have some laughs; it's honestly much more about the beers we drink while chilling after the game than the game itself, so obviously 5 or 7 aside is more appropriate for us.

If you want to play properly, in a more competitive sense of fun, the standard 11 vs 11 is the way to go.
