After Germany was defeated by Katar in handball without a single scoring player being born in Katar, German media reports that Katar has built up a farming team in Eupen. They seem to be close to promotion to 1st division. Apparently, Katar wants to build a strong team for 2022...

In before Katar beats a good team in round of last 16 with strange calls by the refs....

Well, when their bid won, they already said that they were working on a plan to bring foreign talent to strengthen the team and try to have a decent run.

strengthen, sure... in the game against germany for example, not a SINGLE goal of the 26 they made was scored by a qatari...

with the help of obviously paid referees and their spanish and yugoslavian mercenaries they beat handball nations like poland, germany and slovenia and made it into the final. completely ridiculous, the whole tournament is a farce...

and concerning the world cup in qatar: for the game against germany for example, there were hundreds of fans with valid tickets that weren't allowed to enter the stadium because they already let people in for free and claimed it was full.
if that's any indication of their ability to organise an event it's bad news for the football world cup which is obviously much bigger than this...

They didn't just hire mercenaries to play and coach them, they hired around 100 spanish fans to go cheer for the Qatar national team throughout the WC. They get free vacations in a 5 star resort, free tickets and a decent amount of money... in exchange they cheer for Qatar whenever they play.

They chant typical spanish songs, it's pretty funny to watch... and they change around some lyrics like "Yo soy, qatarí, qatarí, qatarí" instead of "Yo soy, español, español, español" and "Hasta el final, ¡vámos Qatar!" instead of "Hasta el final, ¡vámos Real!"

this in addition to the fact that they didnt let in german fans and player girlfriends, because local guys were invited to the game makes it the most ridiculous event ever

I guess they have a decent shot at making it under the last 8 or 16. They might have something like an African allstars team with maybe a German keeper and a Brazilian striker in addition.
At least there is the rule that you must not change your national team after having played one competitive match for your original one.

Are we talking about the belgian team Eupen? Because they aren't close to getting promoted to the first division.

Picking germans for their national team will be a massive failure. German succes story relies on turks, polaks and their darker counterparts ^^^
