Why is Simeone praised for these anti-football tactics and mourinho is crucified?

Don't get me wrong, I hate mourinho as much as anyone but this double standard is stupid.

It can obviously be said that Mou has a superior squad but the tactics are the same.

Both managers play anti-football and it's stupid and boring to watch.

Simeone turned a mediocre team into a title winning one.

Why people praise him ? Cuz he basically used 2-nd rate footballeers to do that while everywhere he goes mourinho spends shitloads.

Agreed. When mourinho joins a club its written in his contract, that he MUST be allowed to spend over 100million before he gets his foot in the door.

Simeone is the better manager.

Dude is fly as fuck and will beat you up if you question his tactics.
Plus he's taken Atleti and disrupted the oligarchy that is Real Madrid/Barca using players that are 1/10th of what Jose gets to spend (pricewise).
On the other hand Mourinho's team do score a lot as said above by Andi, but he almost always reverts to the boring defensive strategy in big games.

Gotta love the hate Mour is getting. I mean any random can win a treble, followed by the double with the all mighty Porto. I guess he spent shitloads and had top tier players to achieve that. Oh, and the years with Inter, where they saw their most successful season ever (another treble) also coincidentally came under his management. Don't forget that the guy has won a league title at least once wherever he coached.
Not taking anything away from Simeone, he's done a great job and all, he still has a lot of ground to cover until he can even come close to where Mourinho has been for years. Atm, in terms of achievements he could be compared to the likes of J.Klopp, but not to one of the greatest managers in recent times.

The ref calls for porto were almost hillarious. Youtube it. Funny that years later he complains about refereeing when his best season with porto was mainly achieved due to ref mistakes in porto's favor.

During their golden era, Barca was probably the most favorited team by the refs in all of sports, not only football. Still, they are remembered as one of the most dominant sides in history. Even if Mourinho got a call or 2, that doesn't change the fact that his teams were tactically sound and that he's probably the best psychologist when it comes to motivating his players. Also there's been shitloads of cases when he was going against the refs for a reason. Undermining his achievements and trying to put above a guy who's done nothing apart from one season is simply ignorant and ridiculous. Simeone is a really promising manager, but to put him above or even in the same category as Mour is just stupid. And this comes from a guy who wants to see him fail every time.
