Need some of you guys personal opinions on Gabriel Paulista, he seems to be our #1 target for that CB spot. Only issue is his work permit.

From what I can tell he's having a solid season, but I would appreciate some personal opinions on him

He looks good on video. Fast, closes down quickly, and good on the ball.

He was a benchwarmer that barely got any playtime until a few months ago when several of Villarreal's defenders struggled with injuries.

He has been doing well and has earned himself a spot in the starting XI. However, it's hard to judge if it's only a matter of form (since he has only began playing regulary this season) or if he's indeed good.

I still think that Musacchio is easily Villarreal's best CB though, and I don't think it would be a huge los for Villarreal if they sold him for a decent amount.
