Lol no, far from it. I don't even watch the Argentine league but iirc River Plate isn't even in the top division in Argentina.

I would say yes. Both still the highest winning most followed teams in Argentine.

But they are nowhere near as good as they used to be. River was even demoted to the argentinian second level around 5 years ago.
