Remember ww1?

In the UK its this big deal that we remember the end of the war ans give minutes silence etc, the Queen comes out of her hole and puts a wreath down, the whole of the UK pins poppys to their clothes

Do any of you other European countries do anything significant?

E: that's why all epl games had minutes silence + black armbands today

Uk will also had silence on Tuesday which is 11th - but whichever weekend falls closest there are loads of ceremonies.
This year because it's 100 years basically every town and city is having parades etc

Yes for some reason it's touted as a special occasion 100 years on, so i guess we will have exactly the same in 2018
