Seems to be a debate going on in the Barcelona thread about these two teams, and rather than continuing to post in it, figured it might be a good topic for discussion throughout the forum.

Which is the better team?

E/ I guess another question would be, which is a bigger draw for top class players?

any serious player would want to join dortmund
on the other hand a player can make more money in liverpool

Bollocks. For the reasons I've already explained in Barca thread

Also, alot of this forum is comprised of Germans and Man United fans, both of which would instantly say Dortmund > Liverpool, so we don't have a fair representation within our sample

But as a player, which is more attractive to play at?

Trying to not be too biased as I write this, but both teams have great fan support, both (this year at least) are playing in the Champions League, and both can mount a title challenge, however, the Premier League is a bit more open in terms of teams that could potentially win it. Liverpool, despite losing their best player, are still a formidable team and can definitely challenge the likes of Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, United, Tottenham. They've got a core of experience and great young potential. For Dortmund, it will be much more difficult to unseat Bayern at the top (not saying its impossible). They have also lost one of their best players to their title rivals, but still have a good squad.

I think moving to a club really depends on the player themselves. What kind of challenge they are looking for, could even be the country they play in that's a factor. Thoughts?
