Some German newspapers are seriously stating this little mockery destroyed the positive and tolerant image the DFB created during the WC.

Can't bother to go into details now, bedtime. But I'm really pissed off.

In my unbiased opinion, it is mocking the team you beat when you mention them in your winning chants like that.

Of course it is really nothing compared to things that fans of many countries say.

Germany not only gets more hate, but they also can't be as risque in the things they say and do just cos of ww2, which is unfair. If a similar chant was done by another country it wouldn't be publicised like this.

Argentians who are probably way more racist than any Western-central/Northern European nation claim that they are imitating apes.


Now just imagine people, if the final was ivory coast, Nigeria or Ghana (all black people) and Germany made the same celebration/taunt.

any german football team knows this chant and nobody ever complained about it

the losing team is always hurt, but this is a legit celebration
nobody was shouting "fuck argentina" or something.....

by some group, nothing more

but by a random group of fans it's just silly mockery

same could have been done by plenty goups of south-american fans, the argentinian team is not really loved outside argentina
